Superlative forms of adjectives
                Schumacher is fast. But some people say Villeneuve is faster than Schumacher.
And Ayrton Senna was the fastest of the three.
Senna was the fastest of all.

Para formar superlativos:
     ·         de uma só sílaba, acrescenta-se –est.
Ex.: fast (rápido) – the fastest (o mais rápido)
     ·         de uma só sílaba, quando o adjetivo termina em consoante-vogal-consoante, dobra-se a consoante final antes do acréscimo de –est.
Ex.: thin (magro) – the thinnest (o mais magro)
     ·         de duas sílabas, quando o adjetivo termina em y, troca-se o y por um i e acrescenta-se –est
Ex.: wealthy (rico) – the wealthiest (o mais rico)

                Jacques Villeneuve is famous. But Michael Schumacher is more famous than Villeneuve.
                And Senna is the most famous of the three. Ayrton Senna was a great champion and he is still famous all over the world.

Para formar superlativos de adjetivos longos (de duas ou mais sílabas), usa-se the most (o mais) antes do grau positivo do adjetivo.
Ex.:
     ·         famous (famoso) – the most famous (o mais famoso)
     ·         beautiful (belo, lindo) – the most famous (o mais belo, lindo)
     ·         expensive (caro) – the most expensive (o mais caro)
